Empty Bowls 2009

Thank you to all who made the 2009 5th Annual Empty Bowls Project such a success.  The Collar City Clay Guild wants to thank TAP Inc, for their support these past five years in providing us the means to put the great event together...without you this event would not happen.  Thank you, also, to the great people at the Italian Community Center!  You have made us feel like family and we truly love having our event in your home.  Thank you to all the restaurants that have provided the warm and tasty soup and chowder.  The wonderful aromas that fill the ICC keep the community coming back year after year.  Thank you to all those local companies that have donated everything from napkins to bread and cookies...these special touches help make the event complete.  And thank you to the potters that work so hard for many months making thousands of bowls!!  Without you...what would we put the soup in?!

More Information

The Empty Bowls Program is a wonderful grassroots movement that have brought artists, chefs, and communities together to help raise money for local food programs.  Started nearly 20 years ago, it spread throughout the country to raise money and awareness about hunger.  The Collar City Clay Guild is proud to support this movement and hope that we can continue to make this event better every year.  In 2009, we were able to raise over $26,000 to help our local food programs in Troy!  Please join us for our next event in October 2010!!!
